PM2.5 Forecast for Beijing – Friday, May 9, 2014
Friday looks a bit more promising than our average day in Beijing. We should see increased pollution overnight and into the morning, probably peaking somewhere in the Unhealthy range. But we have a good chance at reduced pollution levels (possibly significantly reduced) in the late morning and early afternoon. If we're lucky, we could even see the AQI readings drop down to Moderate during the afternoon.
EXTENDED FORECAST
SATURDAY, May 10: We could also see better than average conditions for Beijing on Saturday. We should see conditions at Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups or Unhealthy for most of the day, but we have another chance at improved air quality in the afternoon.
SUNDAY, May 11: We have another chance of good air quality on Sunday. We should see the air clear overnight, leaving us with Good or Moderate AQI readings for most of the day.
MONDAY, May 12: Monday should bring us back to poor air quality, likely at Unhealthy conditions throughout the day.
